The questions we are asked most often
What kind of work does THERMIN Kft. undertake?
Our core activity is the construction of utilities carrying liquids: building, extending and reconstructing drinking water networks, constructing and upgrading sewer systems, installing wastewater treatment units, and the related manual and mechanical earthworks. We also carry out flood protection and hydraulic engineering works, site levelling, block paving, green area maintenance, machine and small equipment rental, and self-storage rental.
Which areas do you work in?
From our depots in Győr and Győrújbarát we work in five counties: Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom, Fejér, Veszprém and Vas. Short mobilisation times combined with our own machinery let us reach the site quickly and carry out the works with a continuous presence.
Do you work as main contractor and as subcontractor?
Yes. We undertake utility construction both as main contractor and as subcontractor. We regularly work alongside general contractors, taking over the full technical scope of the water utility discipline.
What quality management system do you work to?
Our activities are carried out under a quality management system compliant with MSZ EN ISO 9001:2015. This ensures the effectiveness, continuous improvement and verifiability of our defined work processes. The certificate is made available when we quote.
What should I send with a request for quotation?
We can give a meaningful quotation fastest if we receive the project location, the technical scope or the design documentation (route, diameters, material grade, length), the planned start and the required completion date. If the investment is still at preparation stage, a short description and a phone call are enough for an indication of magnitude.
How does the first contact work?
You can reach us through the quotation form, by e-mail (iroda@thermin.hu) or by phone (+36 30 953 5364). For technical questions our colleagues are available at thermin@thermin.hu. Once your enquiry arrives we discuss the technical scope, with a site visit where needed.
Do you work with your own machinery?
Yes. Our fleet ranges from tracked and wheeled excavators, tractors and mini excavators to truck-mounted cranes, and includes precision pipe and rotating lasers, pneumatic road boring equipment, compaction and cutting machines and high-capacity pumps. This is what allows us to deliver complex tasks largely from our own capacity.
Can your machines be hired separately?
Yes, our earthmoving machines and small equipment are available for hire — with or without an operator. Please contact us for the currently available equipment and the rental terms.
What does the self-storage service involve?
At our Győrújbarát depot we rent out 20-foot, 14 m² lockable steel containers under the name Tárolj Okosan – Smart Storage, for short and long periods alike. The site is CCTV-monitored and you can access your own unit 24 hours a day. Details and quotation.
Do you take on EU-funded and public procurement projects?
Yes. Most of our water utility projects are delivered with EU funding, and we regularly work on municipal, state and water utility investments. We provide the reference certificates and eligibility documents required for procurement procedures.
Do you also carry out green area maintenance?
Yes, green area management is a smaller but continuous part of our activity: care of parks and public spaces, mowing, grass cutting, maintenance of ditches and embankments. We also undertake this on a regular, contractual basis, and we have vehicles licensed to transport non-hazardous waste.
